Style Sessions - Denim Jacket

Denim jacket. The one piece in our closet that can be worn anytime of the year. I own two denim jackets that I purchased probably 10 years ago and they are good as new. No woman's wardrobe would be complete without a denim jacket. It's so versatile, you can style a denim jacket in a million ways and it's perfect for layering between seasons.

Denim jacket is a classic piece. There are many ways to style this piece apart from the typical 'trousers+ t-shirt+ denim jacket' and it can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood or occasion and let's face it, a denim jacket looks good with everything. I purchased the one I am wearing from Benetton 10 years ago and it's like new, I've worn it a million times with every outfit you can think of.

Today I have four ways to style this favourite piece.

For holidays

Outfit: Rosegal floral maxi dress*, denim jacket (similar), flip flops.

Denim looks amazing paired with anything floral. And for this occasion, the blue and white colours of this printed maxi dress look beautiful in contrast with the blue of the denim jacket. For holidays, a maxi dress is a must and when it starts to get chilly at night, it pairs perfectly with your jacket.

For a casual day

Outfit: denim shorts, print top*, denim jacket (similar), silver wedges (similar).

For days when I am at home I usually wear shorts with a plain tank top or the other way around, a simple monochrome pair of denim shorts and a print top. For this look, I paired my denim shorts with this beautiful palm leaf top and my silver wedges I wear all the time. And yes, denim on denim looks good, don't be afraid to try it.

For the weekend

Outfit: floral dress*, silver wedges (similar), denim jacket.

At the weekend, I usually spend my time at home relaxing and doing some household (wearing my pjs) and later in the afternoon I reply to my emails, doing some blogging, taking photos and preparing my posts for the week. But on Sundays, we usually go out for lunch and a floral dress is the perfect option for this occasion. The colours of this dress match perfectly with the denim jacket and I love the frill detail on the boob area.

Date night

Outfit: black dress, statement necklace*, wedges, denim jacket.

A black dress is such a classic for a date night, don't you think? Add a statement necklace or long chunky earrings and you are ready to meet your man of your dreams (or to have dinner with the man in your life).
